What is the difference using an online accountant?
Updated: Jul 24, 2019
Many accountants in the UK offer an almost online service currently if they are anywhere near where they should be with the software and technology that is now available to accountants, bookkeepers and small business owners. The majority of contact with clients tends to be via email. Despite some of the noise around spam emails etc email is not going anywhere soon!
The difference with an exclusively online accountancy firm is that there is no physical head office. Many staff who work in such businesses tend to work remotely from home. Sounds good? I imagine that many employees and small business owners themselves would like that sort of flexibility, it's certainly the way the world is going.
How does this affect you as the client? The service should be almost seamless compared to a 'traditional' high street accountant such as Tax Assist or even SJD Accountancy that have offices but generally provide an online service. LTA Online Accountants predominantly focuses on using email as the main point of contact although we are also more than happy to arrange a call back at a time to suit you.
So the big difference is that there is no physical office to pop in for a cup of tea or coffee. With the amount you are saving in fees you will have enough spare pennies to treat yourself to more than Starbucks or two going forward! Yes we are Starbucks fans around here, don't mention the C word around us...
